AdSense Detective

AdSense Detective is a web-based tracking tool designed to reveal data that isn't discussed in your AdSense reports.

What kind of data?

Well, Google tells you the number of impressions, clicks and total revenue. If you use channels, you are able to track your sites, pages and ad blocks just a bit deeper.

But that's where Google's reporting ends its usefulness. And where AdSense Detective comes in.
Since the Detective is web-based, you login to your account and grab a small snippet of javascript code. Simply paste it in to your page template and it will begin tracking every page. You don't need to install any programs on your server. And the one snippet of code will work across multiple sites.

Once the tracking begins, Adsense Detective provides you with some pretty valuable data. For example, you can see which search terms people are using to find pages with AdSense ads. Now you might be able to find this data from your web logs, but here you can see which terms that were searched actually result in a click!

You can see which pages had ads that were clicked on. This is way cool for determining which sites and specific pages are your money pages.

Finally, you can see which ADS are receiving clicks. Powerful stuff.
